The International Journal of Aviation Systems, Operations and Training (IJASOT) consists of peer-reviewed technical and research papers, providing coverage of important insights, challenges, opportunities, trends, and innovative solutions to some of the most pressing concerns facing the industry.
Another important area to be addressed involves Pilot or Operational reports on new, emerging aviation systems and aircraft that would appeal to many in the operational communities. These reports address some of the key operational concerns facing the community, particularly in the area of man-machine interface, expanded mission performance, human factors, and safety and efficiency. Additional material that will be offered includes interviews, book reviews, and reports on seminars, symposiums, and air shows.

The primary mission of the International Journal of Aviation Systems, Operations and Training is to highlight the latest developments, innovations and best practices in aeronautical system design, flight operations, and crew member training with the goal to promote excellence in flight operations. Cognizant of the many challenges and opportunities facing aviation today and into the future, the journal will bring to the aviation community the latest understanding in specific problem definitions, targeted solution proposals and propositions, creative methods and processes, as well as applied “critical thinking” in such form and content as to allow for ease of incorporation.
Challenges and opportunities currently include such areas as convergent technology applications and mission performance modeling leading to mission adaptive display capabilities. Also high speed sonic and super-sonic flight operation initiatives coupled with advanced navigation capabilities will stimulate a significant number of creative, innovative concepts and ideas that will rival previous eras. Advancements in Human Factors, advanced training products, and crew performance optimization efforts will also be areas to watch.
The target audience of the journal is the mid-career professional who desires somewhat more actionable material that will be helpful in achieving mission success for himself as well as his organization.
