Editor/Author Biographies
Andrei Jean-Vasile, Ph.D, is an Assistant Professor at Petroleum - Gas University of Ploiesti, Department of Business Administration. He holds a Ph.D in economics and currently is postdoctoral researcher in economics at the National Institute of Economics Research - Romanian Academy of Sciences. He holds a B.A. degree in Administrative Sciences (2005) and in Banks and Finances (2007) from the Petroleum - Gas University of Ploiesti. He has M.A. degree in Economics, Administrative and Business Management (2007) earned at the same university. Jean Andrei is Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Sustainable Economies Management (USA), Associate Editor of Economics of Agriculture (Ekonomika poljoprivrede) published by Institute of Agricultural Economics (Serbia), scientific reviewer for International Business Information Management Association Conferences – IBIMA. He is also member of scientific organizations such as The Econometric Society (January, 2011), European Association of Agricultural Economists (December, 2008), The Balkan Scientific Association of Agrarian Economists, Serbia (December 2008) and General Assembly of the Romanian Economists (March 2010). ISSUES like business investments process, economic efficiency and valuing economic and human potential are particularly among his research and scientific interests, where he has published articles (over 30), scientific books(5) and conferences presentations.
Ion Raluca Andreea is an Associate Professor at the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, Faculty of Agro-food and Environmental Economics. She holds a bachelor degree in agricultural economics, one master’s degree in management of agricultural and environmental systems, and one in English communication for teaching and researching in economics, a PhD in agricultural economics and a post PhD degree in Transfer of knowledge economy in sustainable development and environmental protection. She studied abroad at The Iowa State University, USA, the topic of agro-food system performance and to The Center for International Agricultural Development Cooperation, within the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Israel, the topic of marketing of fresh agricultural products. Her main area of expertise refers to agricultural marketing, agro-food chains, agricultural consumption, sustainable consumption, agricultural markets, competitiveness of agro-food companies, agricultural trade, food security and safety etc. She published 17 books on different topics: marketing, agricultural marketing, wine marketing, agro-food chains, performance of agro-food system, agricultural markets and policies, and traceability of agro-food chains. In her numerous published articles, the agro-food system in Romania is analyzed, from the farms, with their particularities, throughout processing industry and distribution, to the final consumer and his behavior.
Turek Rahoveanu Adrian is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Management, Engineering and RuralEconomic Development within the Bucharest University of Agronomic Science and Veterinary Medicine. Turek Rahoveanu Adrian holds a Ph.D in agricultural management and marketing. His main area of expertise is production structure analysis, farm management, production practices compatible to environment, and implementing preserving and protection. He published 20 books as author or co-author singles in the fields of agricultural economics, agro-food chains, agricultural policy, and rural development. His research activity consists in 28 research projects as director or member. He has participated to symposiums and published 45 articles to international and national conferences to 39 articles.
