Editor/Author Biographies
Swaranjit Singh, after having served twenty one years of commissioned service, took early retirement in 2002 from Army as a Lieutenant Colonel. He has managed full service hotels and a construction company since retirement. From 2008 he is running his education business as California State Education Vendor providing Notary Public education under aegis of Secretary of State, California. He presents on Gandhi, Nonviolence and Peacebuilding on invitation(s) and at international conferences.
Nancy Erbe, J.D., L.L.M. is the 2015 Fulbright Distinguished Chair in American Studies (social inequalities, urban studies and international relations) at Pontifero Catholic University Rio de Janeiro Brazil and 2015 Presidential Outstanding Professor in the graduate program for Negotiation, Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding at California State University, Dominguez Hills. She has also taught at the University of Denver, Pepperdine’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, Cornell School of Law, the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Oslo’s International Summer School, several universities in Cyprus and India, and Bethlehem Bible College, West Bank where she helped started the first peace masters program in the Arab world. Professor Erbe is the author of (2011) Negotiation Alchemy: Global Skills Inspiring and Transforming Diverging Worlds, (2003) Holding These Truths: Empowerment and Recognition in Action (an interactive case study curriculum for multicultural conflict resolution), Berkeley: Public Policy Press,Initiating No Violence Education for Students and Teachers (funded by U.S. Dept of Justice), chapters in (2010) and several articles related to global and domestic conflict resolution and peacebuilding in journals including Harvard Negotiation Law Review, Southern Poverty Law’s publications and most recently the Encyclopedia of War. Her article on human trafficking has been translated by the United Nations into several languages. She has edited three books: (2013) Collective Efficacy: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on International Leadership, United Kingdom: Emerald, (2014) Approaches to Managing Organizational Diversity and Innovation, PA: IGI; (2015) Cross Cultural Collaboration and Leadership for Modern Organizations, PA: IGI. Professor Erbe is a practicing mediator, Paul Harris Fellow and Fulbright Senior Specialist in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution (Cyprus and West Bank). For several years she served on the Fulbright review committee for Senior Specialists in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution.
