Editor/Author Biographies
Fredrick Mtenzi’s research interests include designing secure mobile micropayment transactions in low-end mobile devices, design of robust protocols for gathering online evidence and investigations, cyber security, security auditing, techniques for improving predictive protection in cyber security, and security metrics development. Recently he has been working on developing de-identification strategies which will increase the utility and privacy of sensitive information in the era of big data. Specifically, these de-identification strategies are used in increasing the sharing of electronic healthcare records.
George S. Oreku is an associate research Professor of Applied E-commerce Security and Information Systems. Oreku's research interests include Information Security, Sensor Networks Security, cybercrime, Cyber Security, risks assessment of technology-enabled information, Mobile Banking, electronic and mobile commerce (emC), applied information systems and its integrations to R&D. He is also interested in development of culturally sensitive educational models (South Africa, Ireland, China and Tanzania). He serves as a Chairman of review committee National Council for Technical Education (NACTE), Tanzania, International Board Member of Advisory to African Institute of Policy (API) Kenya and Affiliated Professor with University of Eastern Finland (UEF). He is a team member of the Ubiquitous Computing Research Group (UCRG) at the School of Computing, Dublin Institute of Technology, Al-Zaytoonah University, Amman Jordan and North West University South Africa. He has worked as a lecturer and supervised a number of PhD and Masters Students in several Universities nationally and internationally. Professor Oreku has organized and chaired peer-reviewed international conferences and workshops in Computer Security. He is a reviewer in many International Journals and Conferences as well and a professional member of Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), IEEE, IEEE Technical Committee and Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), SANORD, ERB and WASET.
Dennis M. Lupiana is a researcher, consultant and a lecturer at the Institute of Finance Management (IFM), Tanzania with experience of over 16 years in ICT. He taught in the Dublin Institute of Technology and the Griffith College in Dublin, Ireland for over four years. He is very familiar with the ICT landscape of Tanzania. He has led and completed many consulting assignments in areas such as assessment of ICT infrastructures, software development, IT governance and digital marketing in the country. His research interests include Smart system and their applications, digital payments and digital capacity building.
