Panagiotis Manolitzas, is an Assistant Professor at the Ionian University. He holds a Bachelor in Public Administration (specialization in Management Science) from the University of Athens, MSc in Public Management (specialization in Management Science) from the University of Athens and a PhD in Management Science from the Technical University of Crete. He has over 70 publications in international, national scientific conferences and scientific journals. His research interests lie in the areas of Strategic Management, Strategic Decision Making, simulation, decision support systems for the health care organizations, health services research, process mining, multiple criteria analysis and tourism management.
Constantin Zopounidis has been elected to the prestigious The Real Academia de Ciencias Económicas y Financieras (RACEF). He joins the ranks of Daniel Kahneman (Nobel Laureate), Romano Prodi, and Joseph E. Stiglitz (Nobel Laureate) who belong to this Institution. It is with pride and delight that we communicate that Professor Constantin Zopounidis, Editor-in-Chief of Operational Research and Editor of the renowned Handbook of Multicriteria Analysis, has been elected to the RACEF – Royal Academy of Economic and Finance Sciences of Spain. The Royal Academy of Economic and Finance Sciences of Spain was officially established in Spain, in 1958, but its roots can be traced back to the 18th century when King Ferdinand VI of Spain set up the Royal Private Board of Commerce. RACEF promotes the cooperation between researchers of the most important institutions and academies around the world, and seeks to advance the scientific knowledge and the existing decision and policy making practices in the fields of economics and finance. This Society brings together 2200 people from 100 countries. The term of office shall be for four years from 2015 to 2019. Professor C. Zopounidis was also honored by the same Society with Edgeworth - Pareto Award in 2013.Michael A. Talias is an Assistant Professor in the Healthcare Management Program at the Open University of Cyprus. His research interests fall into the broad area of Healthcare Management, Health Economics, Decisions under uncertainty and Operational Research. He is committed to advancing the newly statistical developed methodology to large and complex databases to address critical questions in Health Management and to impact policy. He Published more than 50 articles in scientific journals.
Evangelos Grigoroudis
is Professor on management of quality processes in the School of Production Engineering and Management of the Technical University of Crete, Greece (2002-). He has received distinctions from the Hellenic Operational Research Society, the Academy of Business and Administrative Sciences, the World Automation Congress, the Foundation of Ioannis and Vasileia Karayianni, the Technical University of Crete, the State Scholarships Foundation of Greece, and the IEEE TEM Society. He is Associate Editor and member of the Editorial Board of 8 and 6 scientific journals, respectively, and he acts as reviewer for more than 80 journals. He is author and/or editor of 30 books on service quality, operations management, business strategy and management, multicriteria decision aid approaches, and innovation management. He has published more than 200 papers in scientific journals, books and conference proceedings. His research interests include service quality measurement processes, customer and employee satisfaction, performance evaluation, business excellence, operational research, multicriteria decision analysis, data analysis, and marketing.
Nikolaos Matsatsinis is a Professor of Information and Intelligent Decision Support Systems at the Department of Production Engineering and Management of the Technical University of Crete, Greece. He is Chairman of the Department, Director of Decision Support Systems Lab and President of Hellenic Operational Research Society (HELORS). He also has over twenty eight years of experience in Information and Decision Systems development. He has coordinate or/and contribute on over of thirty projects. He is the author or co-author of fifteen books and over of sixty six articles in international scientific journals and books. He is member of the international advisory board of three scientific journals. His research interests fall into the areas of Decision Support Systems, Artificial Intelligent and Multi-Agent Systems, Multicriteria Decision Analysis, Group Decision Support Systems, Workflow Management Systems, e-Business, e-Marketing, Consumer Behaviour Analysis.
