Mostafa M. El-Sheekh has 38 years of experience in the research and teaching Dr. El-Sheekh served as the Dean Faculty of Science, Tanta University, Egypt and Cultural counselor in Egyptian Embassy in Yemen and Uzbekistan and Vice president of Tanta University for Postgraduate studies and Research. Dr. El-Sheekh holds a PhD in Phycology from Tanta University and Göttingen University, Germany. He got several postdoc fellowships in Hungary, India, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and Japan. He has authored 227 papers including 150 articles published in SCI journals (h-index=29, Scopus, h-index 35, Google scholar), 16 Book chapters, and 4 books. He also serves as editorial member and reviewer for 100 peer reviewed Journals. He is from the top 2% of the Scientists in the field of Biological Sciences as published by Stanford University depending on the Scopus database 2020 and 2021.
Norhayati Abdullah is currently the Associate Director of UTM International Kuala Lumpur and Associate Professor in Environmental Engineering at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). She completed her tenure as a Guest Scholar at the Graduate School of Advanced Integrated Studies in Human Survivability (Shishu-kan), Kyoto University, Japan. Norhayati is recipient of the 2019/2020 ASEAN Science and Technology Fellowship focusing on the strategic recommendations for water sector transformation under the auspices of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia. Norhayati represented UTM and Malaysia at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor for the Fulbright US-ASEAN Visiting Scholar Initiatives in 2016-2017. In 2018, she received the L'Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science Fellowship. She was Board of Director of the International Water Association (IWA) from 2014-2018, an IWA Fellow and Council Member of the Malaysian Water Association (MWA). At global level, Norhayati has been actively involved with the IWA program and activities since 2000. She received the IWA Young Water Professional (IWAYWP) Award in 2012 in recognition of her outstanding achievements in wastewater research and active involvement in various professional development programs.
Imran Ahmad is a PhD student at MJIIT, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Currently working on the treatment of restaurant wastewater containing FOG using microalgae. Ahmad specializes in the anaerobic treatment of industrial wastewaters, especially landfill leachate. He has published his work in peer reviewed journals, book chapters, attended and presented in many International conferences. Ahmad is also working in the editing of book to be published by Springer, Nature. Ahmad received best presentation award in 4 International conferences. He received Algae Industry Incubation Consortium (AIIC), Japan grants award and My Membrane award, Malaysia in 2021. He was also the recipient of Young Scholars grant awarded by School of Post Graduate Studies, UTM. Ahmad have teaching experience of 8 years in AICTE approved Engineering Colleges in India. He is having student membership for International Society for applied Phycology (ISAP), International Water Association (IWA), Northeast Algal Society (NEAS), Ecological Society of America (ESA), British Phycological Society, and Northeast Algal Society (NEAS).
