Editor/Author Biographies
Nor Alias a Professor of Instructional Technology and currently an Honorary Professor at the Faculty of Education, Universiti Teknologi MARA Malaysia. I graduated with a B Sc Physics and M Sc Physics from Indiana University, Bloomington and later pursued a Graduate Certificate in Open and Distance Learning (USQ, Australia) before my doctoral study in online learning. My current research interest and activities are in the field of e-learning, open distance learning, learning design and design and development research(DDR). I have been awarded the Edu Tech Leadership Award (Higher Education) in 2019 and have recently been acknowledged as one of the Academic Icons by the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia (in conjunction with the National Academia Day).
Sharipah Syed-Aris is an Assoc. Prof Ts Dr Sharipah Ruzaina Syed Aris is currently the Dean at the Faculty of Education, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). She received her B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry in 1995 from the University of Malaya. Her passion and deep interest in the value of education have led her to pursue her master’s and PhD in Chemistry Education at the same alma mater. She was a director at the Curriculum Affairs Unit, Academic Affairs Division, at UiTM from 2015 to 2019 with 11 years of experience in curriculum development. Apart from her contribution as an academic administrator and educator, she also participated and contributed at national level, as a member of technical committee for NOBLe (Noble Outcome Based Learning), Strategic Committee for 2U2i industry mode, Strategic Committee of Service-Learning Malaysia-University for Society (SULAM) and Task Force for 4.0 Educators. DR Sharipah Ruzaina has conducted 3 research projects for the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education, namely on the study of Outcome-Based Education, the impact of the mode industry academic program, and the impact of the My3S instrument on students. Her vast experience in curriculum development and hybrid programmes has made her a frequently invited speaker at workshops and conferences. She is also recognised by the Malaysian Board of Technology (MBOT) as a professional technologist in the field of Chemical Technology and is currently a panel member of the MBOT and Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA).

Dr Hamimah Hashim obtained a PhD in Educational Psychology from International Islamic University,Malaysia (IIUM), Master of Education in Preschool Education (UKM) and first degree in Psychology (IIUM) . Started as a lecturer at UiTM in 2004 and most recently she held the position of Deputy Dean of Academic at the Faculty of Education, UiTM. Active in conducting various research and consultancy grants from KPM and UiTM. Also active in the field of academic writing and received the "Best paper award" at the International Conference on Social Sciences Studies 2019. She was invited as a keynote speaker at the International Conference on Education held in Bukiitinggi, Indonesia in 2020. In addition, she gave lot of talks and motivational programs with students and teachers. Dr Hamimah has received the Outstanding Service Award in 2009 and 2018. In the field of teaching, she actively supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students and supervises international students. She is also active in participating in Innovation competitions and has several products registered as "Intellectual Property". Her most recent award was the Aspiring Innovator Award 2020 in producing items for online teaching evaluation.
