Editor/Author Biographies
Christiana Bevier, MA, MBA, is currently a Professor at Purdue University Global in the Department of Professional Studies within the School of General Education. Bevier has been involved with higher education since graduate school, including teaching, management, advising, tutoring, broadcasting, career coaching, disability services, graduation services, records, and event planning. She has taught a variety of courses in business and communications, with research interests related to professionalism, gender and communication, diversity, social media influence, change management, and ethics in education. Bevier engages in curriculum development, faculty advising, conference presentations, and is a published author. She has a passion for engaging students, educating with practical application, and encouraging lifelong learning. Bevier currently resides in Illinois and spends her free time outdoors with her husband, family, and friends.
Barry Regan is currently a University Faculty member in the School of General Education at Purdue University Global. He has presented at over a dozen academic conferences and published in multiple scholarly journals in the areas of speech and debate and sports communication, as well as the intersection of gender, race, higher education, and communication pedagogy. He teaches courses in professional and organizational communication. Barry also served as the Director of Forensics at Grand Canyon University, where he led the team to a top-25 national ranking in parliamentary debate in 2016 and 2017. He also served as a curriculum and program advisor for Real Talk Agency, an organization dedicated to training college student organizations to eliminate toxic masculinity and racism. He holds a B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Nevada - Las Vegas, an M.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Arkansas, and a Doctorate of Education in Higher Education Leadership from Grand Canyon University. He currently lives in Henderson, NV with his beautiful wife, Carly, and daughter, Fallon.
Carolyn N. Stevenson, Faculty Advisor, Purdue University Global, Veteran educator and qualitative research expert Carolyn Stevenson has over 20 years teaching and administrative experience in higher education. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Communication, Master of Business Administration, and Doctor of Education with an emphasis in Higher Education.
