Description & Coverage
Description:

Maximizing student outcomes in education poses a significant challenge for educators and institutions. Traditional methods of assessing student progress often fall short of providing actionable insights for improving educational programs and courses. Without comprehensive data-driven approaches, understanding learners' needs, tailoring teaching strategies, identifying at-risk students, and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions are all daunting tasks. There is a pressing need for a solution that can harness the power of learning analytics (LA) to inform decision-making, enhance teaching practices, and support student success.

Perspectives on Learning Analytics for Maximizing Student Outcomes offers a comprehensive solution to address the challenges faced by educators and researchers in the field of education. Edited by esteemed scholars Gürhan Durak and Serkan Çankaya, this book provides a collection of innovative knowledge and practical experiences on emerging technologies, processes, and applications for learning analytics. It covers topics such as data collection and management, data visualization, predictive analytics, ethical considerations, and real-world examples.

This book is ideal for academic scholars, technology enthusiasts, and educational institutions, and it serves as a guide to incorporating innovative technologies and leveraging learning analytics effectively. It equips professionals and researchers with the necessary tools to unlock the transformative potential of LA and make data-informed decisions to enhance the quality and effectiveness of education. By presenting best practices, insights, and future directions, this book empowers its readers to use data-informed decisions to optimize learning environments, personalize teaching approaches, and drive student success through the power of learning analytics. With its focus on the transformative potential of learning analytics, this book paves the way for a more efficient and effective education system that prioritizes student success.
