Reviews & Statements

This publication has been indexed in the DBLP Computer Science Bibliography.

–

"The range of topics provides something of interest to almost everyone, from portals of the mind, to the monitoring of nuclear power plants."

– Arthur Tatnall, Victoria University, Australia

Although the definition of Web portal is somewhat indeterminate owing to the rapid evolution of technology, Tatnall suggests that a portal can be seen as a means of providing a gateway not just to useful sites on the Web, but to all network-accessible resources. In this two-volume encyclopedia, he presents some 200 articles on portal technology.

– Book News Inc., August 2007

"This two-volume resource offers over 200 articles written by experts worldwide. The articles are excellent and deserve a wide audience. Purchase of the print version includes access to the online version for the life of the edition."

– CHOICE, Vol. 45, No. 05 (2008)

"The Encyclopedia of Portal Technologies and Applications is a one-of-a-kind compilation of up-to-date research articles related to portal technology around the world."

– American Reference Books Annual, Vol. 39
