Introduction

We are aware of the contemporary lifestyle of employees in the workplace and considering the evidences of fellow researchers, it becomes critical that we explore concepts of wellbeing and happiness in the workplace. This book titled as "Insights on Wellbeing and Happiness in the Workplace" is a power packed edition of thoughts, insights and discussions related to wellbeing and happiness of employees and management in the workplace. Researchers and students get flavors of new knowledge, analysis and evaluation of practices in the workplace that support or discourage wellbeing and happiness. On the other hand, decision-makers in organizations find opportunities to extract takeaways from this publication. This edited book can be the guiding light for readers who wish to develop knowledge and hone their skills so that they can frame policies and implement the latter in the workplace. Last but not the least, this book can be used by Higher Education Institutions for teaching undergraduate and graduate students on topics of wellbeing and happiness.

Objective

The book intends to fulfill the following objectives: 1) inform readers of concepts and applications related to wellbeing and happiness 2) provide insights about implications of wellbeing and happiness in the workplace 3) support in formulation of policies and frameworks related to wellbeing and happiness 4) guide in strategic decision-making of employee wellbeing and happiness in the workplace 5) lay foundations for advanced research on wellbeing and happiness in the workplace 6) be a resource for faculty members while teaching university students on wellbeing and happiness in the workplace

Target Audience

At the outset, researchers who are focused on wellbeing, mental health and happiness will be the primary set of audience who shall benefit from this research. Beyond this research scholars and students shall benefit from the research articles given in this edited book. Another set of audience to benefit from the book are employees, managers and decision makers in organizations as they would get insights from contemporary theories and practices related to wellbeing and happiness in the workplace. This edited book will be the lighthouse for policy makers in different parts of the world as primary and secondary data shall be discussed and presented in an in-depth manner. Finally this book will be a great resource for educators in the Higher Education Sector to deliver sessions on wellbeing and happiness in the workplace.

Submission Procedure

Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit on or before December 17, 2023, a chapter proposal of 1,000 to 2,000 words clearly explaining the mission and concerns of his or her proposed chapter. Authors will be notified by December 31, 2023 about the status of their proposals and sent chapter guidelines.Full chapters are expected to be submitted by March 10, 2024, and all interested authors must consult the guidelines for manuscript submissions at https://www.igi-global.com/publish/contributor-resources/before-you-write/ prior to submission. All submitted chapters will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis. Contributors may also be requested to serve as reviewers for this project.

Note: There are no submission or acceptance fees for manuscripts submitted to this book publication, Insights on Wellbeing and Happiness in the Workplace. All manuscripts are accepted based on a double-blind peer review editorial process.
