The author examines organizations and management from the perspective of organizational informing agents, or their knowledge, data, meaning, wisdom, and information and communication technologies. He proposes a new view of organizations that places informing agents at the center, called the informing view of organization, which draws on information systems, organization, cognitive theory, and semiotics fields and aims to improve the management and utilization of informing agents.
